Recommendations for Players Over 40
- Play with a lightweight racket.
- Warmup 10-15 min. before playing.
- Don’t remove jacket immediately after the start of the game.
- After the game is over immediately put your jacket on.
- When the temperature is over 25 C ( 77 F) don’t play for extended periods of time.
- Don’t play more than an hour for a single game.
- Play only for pleasure.
- Don’t make fast starts or fast direction changes.
- When possible, play with players in your age group or as close to it as possible.
- Prepare for the stroke as early as is possible, and in the beginning of the game, don’t make fast motions.
- Play fast and accurate shots. Try to avoid long rallies.
- Take time to rest between every rally so your pulse can recover.
- Don’t play tennis if you fееl ill or weak.
